Chen-Style Taijiquan in Oklahoma City, OK – Angel M. Castillo
Angel began training in Chen-style taijiquan in 2020 in Los Angeles under Guo Qichen, a master of the Village Line. After moving to OKC, Angel joined the CTND in 2024 and became a certified assistant instructor the following year. A lifelong martial artist, Angel holds a brown belt in Shotokan karate, was captain of his high school wrestling team, and has competitive experience in a variety of combat sports, including push-hands, submission grappling, and even amateur sumo. The knowledge brought by that breadth of experience, combined with his professional knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology as a licensed massage therapist, allows him to teach in a way that emphasizes proper body mechanics and proprioception.
Originally from Miami, Florida, Angel is fluent in Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, and Japanese, and has a long-term goal of some day expanding the CTND into Latin America.
